ABOUT US

Born and raised in Indianapolis Indiana, Shane grew up skating, snowboarding, and making films. With a desire to learn to surf, Shane was drawn to the Outer Banks where he spent his first summer in 2008. He quickly fell in love with area. While attending Ball State University’s Video Production program, he came back every summer to surf and work. After graduating he purchased his first DSLR and moved to the OBX full time, his enthusiasm for film turned into a love of photography.

The seasonal atmosphere of the Outer Banks provided Shane the perfect opportunity to spend his winters traveling the world with a camera and a surfboard. Shane discovered his passion for photography while on the road and honed his craft once he was back home working under various photographers and filmmakers. In 2015, he started Shane Z Moore Photography and quickly found his niche shooting weddings, portraits, and commercial work. He now lives full time in Nags Head, NC with his daughter Fiona and fiance Jessie.

Jessie cut her teeth documenting the rock scene in Boston while attending the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. After college she worked with indie filmmakers and travelled the world crewing on luxury yachts. Coming from a background in fine art, Jessie takes a photojournalistic approach to her work, finding beauty in the everyday and capturing the moments that go unnoticed. By 2008 she had marooned herself on the Outer Banks and has pursued lifestyle and wedding photography.

Jessie and Shane joined forces in 2017 and have been unstoppable ever since.
